This book is a collection of letters between Julia Child and her friend Avis DeVoto where they discuss all-things-cooking which helped spur the creation of Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Cooks are enjoying the discussions on, what were at the time of writing, revolutions in modern cooking such as frozen foods and casseroles along with interesting tidbits of life in general during the 1950’s.
